How often to wash
Wash your wig every 10–14 wears, or sooner if you use a lot of product or live in a humid climate. Over-washing can dry the hair; under-washing lets product build up at the lace.
How to wash a human hair wig
- Gently detangle from ends to roots with a wide-tooth comb.
- Rinse with lukewarm — never hot — water, flowing downward from root to tip.
- Apply a small amount of sulfate-free shampoo and smooth it through; do not rub or twist.
- Condition the lengths only, keeping conditioner away from the knots on the lace top.
- Rinse thoroughly and blot with a towel. Never wring.
Protect the knots: keep conditioner and oils off the lace top — they can loosen the hand-tied knots over time.
Drying & heat styling
Air-dry on a wig stand where possible. When heat styling, always use a heat protectant and keep tools at a moderate temperature. Virgin hair can be curled, straightened and blow-dried like your own hair.
Caring for the lace top
Handle the lace gently and avoid pulling the wig on by the hairline. Clean any adhesive residue carefully with a remover recommended for lace. Store away from direct sunlight to protect the lace and color.
Storing your wig
Store on a wig stand or in a silk or satin bag, with the hair gently brushed. For travel, fold the wig inward from ear to ear and place it in a protective bag.
